In short

A milk collection system weighs a farmer's milk, reads FAT, SNF and CLR from an attached analyzer, applies your rate chart, records the amount against the farmer's account and prints a slip — typically in under 30 seconds per farmer. Hamari Dairy's PC and Android apps do this entirely offline, read analyzers and AMCU units over RS232 and USB, and turn the shift's entries directly into the payment run with no re-entry.

Integrations

Works with your existing hardware

Hamari Dairy is software, not a hardware lock-in. It reads the analyzers, collection units, scales and printers already installed at your centres.

Milk analyzers

Ultrasonic and FTIR/NIR analyzers that output FAT, SNF, CLR, protein, lactose and added water over a serial port — including Everest, Ksheera, Lactoscan, Lactostar, Milkotester and Ekomilk units. Readings post straight into the collection entry; no manual typing.

AMCU / DPMCU units

Automatic milk collection units at village societies, whether the unit drives the analyzer and scale itself or the PC does. Collection, quality and weight arrive as one record per farmer.

Weighing scales

Electronic platform and can scales with RS232 or USB output. Weight is captured at the moment of collection rather than keyed in afterwards.

Thermal & slip printers

POS-58 and compatible 58 mm thermal printers over USB or Bluetooth for farmer slips, plus standard A4 printers for bills and reports. Slips print in the farmer's language.

Connection types

RS232 serial, RS232-to-USB converters, direct USB and Bluetooth. Runs on Windows PC, Android tablets and the browser — same data, multiple access points for your team. If your analyzer emits a serial reading, its format can be mapped, so you do not replace working equipment to change software.

Weighbridges (plant intake)

Tanker weighbridge readings captured at plant intake and reconciled against the dispatch record from the source BMC or chilling centre.

Drivers for POS-58 thermal printers, RS232-to-USB converters and UFT devices are on the downloads page. Not sure whether your analyzer is supported? Send us the model and we will confirm.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does a milk collection system work?

A farmer's milk is weighed, a sample is tested for FAT, SNF and CLR by an analyzer, and the software reads those values, looks up the applicable rate chart, calculates the amount payable, records it against the farmer's account and prints a slip — typically in under 30 seconds per farmer. At the end of the cycle the recorded entries become the payment run, with no re-entry.

Is there free milk collection software for PC?

Hamari Dairy's desktop application is a free download and includes a 15-day free trial of the full software. After the trial, plans start at ₹139 per month. Genuinely free-forever dairy software generally lacks analyzer integration and rate chart automation, which is where the time saving actually comes from.

How is FAT and SNF calculated in milk?

FAT is measured directly by a milk analyzer. SNF (solids-not-fat) is derived from CLR (corrected lactometer reading) and FAT, most commonly with the ISI formula SNF = (CLR ÷ 4) + (0.21 × FAT) + 0.36, though many dairies use their own variant. Hamari Dairy supports configurable SNF formulas so the software matches the calculation your dairy already pays on.

Which milk analyzers does the software work with?

Hamari Dairy reads FAT, SNF and CLR over RS232 and USB from the milk analyzers and AMCU units commonly used in Indian dairies, including Everest, Ksheera, Lactostar and Milkotester units. If your analyzer outputs a serial reading, it can be mapped. Drivers for POS-58 thermal printers and RS232-to-USB converters are on our downloads page.

Does milk collection software work without internet?

Yes. Collection, testing, rate calculation, slip printing and billing all run offline on the desktop and mobile apps. Data syncs to the cloud automatically when connectivity returns, so the morning shift is never blocked by a dropped connection.

Can one installation handle multiple collection centres?

Yes. Multiple collection centres, shifts and operators roll up into a single consolidated view, with per-centre reports and centre-wise reconciliation. Route-level and society-level summaries are generated automatically rather than compiled by hand.
